Nintendo Switch Online’s April NES Games Revealed

The new update is now live, and we finally know what has changed for the popular Nintendo Switch game.

On April 10th, you'll be able to grab Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels, Star Soldier and Punchout.

As far as the new games being added this month, Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels released in 1986 as a direct sequel to the original game in Japan. If you've never played it before, it's nothing like the Super Mario Bros. 2 on your Switch.

Tyson had even Tweeted about being replaced with "Mr. Dream" in a preceding post, writing, "Mr. Dream? everyone tell Nintendo America who they think of when they hear 'Punch Out'". However, if you are the sort of gamer that likes "goodies" you might want to consider holding out for that announcement. The Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. Mac works his way up a ladder of increasingly tough enemies culminating in a battle with the titleholder Mr. Dream.

Star Soldier has the most straightforward history - it's a 1986 vertically scrolling shooter developed by Hudson Soft.

Why is Mike Tyson beefing with Nintendo?

The first game in the long-running Soldier series, Star Soldier lets players pilot the compact space fighter Caesar across 16 stages.

In fact, Tyson was even featured in the original game's title, which had initially been "Mike Tyson's Punch Out" before Nintendo chose to mitigate possible legal risks. Your mission is to halt a galactic invasion masterminded by Starbrain, a giant computer inhabiting a floating space station.

Punch Out! Featuring Mr. Dream is the virtual console re-release of the original Punch Out!
