Florida authorities confirmed to TMZ that Gaydos, who played Zack in the film's fictional band, is facing felony charges in Florida for larceny and grand theft.

"School of Rock" star Joey Gaydos Jr. isn't just accused of jacking pricey items from music stores, he allegedly stole from his own father as well.

Last month, police released CCTV footage of Gaydos trying out guitars in shops to warn other owners.

Joey has stolen a blue Les Paul Epiphone Prophecy priced at $800, a black Fender Stratocaster priced at $699, and a Gibson Les Paul gold top priced at $1,900. "This sticky-fingered bandit made off with a guitar while the employee was distracted", police wrote in the video's caption on Facebook.

They allege that he has been walking out of music shops with the goods, and then selling them at pawn shops.

Florida police say that Gaydos Jr has confessed and blamed a drug problem, pleading not guilty to the theft of the guitars, while he's yet to submit a plea for the amp case.

Sadly, this isn't the first time that Joey Gaydos Jr. has had a run-in with law enforcement, having been arrested on a drink-driving charge as a 17-year-old in 2009.
