Antonio Brown trade to Jets is not looking likely

Indianapolis, IN (92.3 The Fan) - Browns fans have been fantasizing about a scenario in which Antonio Brown winds up in Cleveland, no matter how unrealistic that may be. "Not that I know of".

Brown's situation, combined with the Le'Veon Bell saga, have helped the Steelers supplant the Browns as the drama kings of the division.

Brown is officially on the trading block after meeting with Steelers brass earlier this month in South Florida. Brown and the Steelers met a week later and agreed to part ways. They're not changing. You know what I mean?

Brown has topped the 100-catch and 1,000-yard marks each of the past six seasons and has had at least 10 touchdown catches in five of those six seasons.

Antonio Brown isn't "angry" with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has maintained his desire to be traded.

However, he also indicated that no team would be out of the mix and that he would opt for the best option if a trade were consummated.

"Everything is very preliminary", Kevin Colbert said here this week. "If not then we'll deal with that when we get there".

"If there's something done to benefit both sides, great", Colbert said. "I've had that conversation not only with Ben, I had that conversation with Maurkice Pouncey, I had that conversation with Cameron Heyward right after the season during our exit interviews, so anytime I say anything in media, I am not afraid to say it to our players and probably have said it to them prior to that". There's 52 kids and it's this guy [Roethlisberger]. "And that would be a significant compensation either in the form of a draft pick or picks, or a player and picks, just so you can try to balance off the loss of a player like that". Their No. 2 overall pick in the draft is too high a price, but it might take a first-round choice to get him, like the Cowboys offered the Raiders for Amari Cooper at the trade deadline midway through last season.
