It's Morphin' Time! A New Power Rangers Fighting Game Arrives in April

Battle For The Grid, the game is developed by NWay, the developers behind the Power Rangers: Legacy Wars mobile game. Check out the announcement teaser below.

The game releases later this year for the Switch, PS4, PC and Xbox One. A streamlined combat system welcomes newcomers with simplified controls while maintaining depth for the most dedicated competitor to learn and master.

He went on to state that the game will feature cross-play and cross-progression "across multiple platforms at the same time" which, by the looks of it, will include the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.

Unlike conventional fighting games, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid will abandon the quarter-circle moves.

There will be two versions of the game that will be available this April 2019. PlayStation 4 pre-orders will start shortly.

The game is now available for pre-order at www.battleforthegrid.com with those ordering prior to launch receiving an exclusive bonus of the Green Ranger V2 character skin and a digital art book. Although the Power Rangers franchise is struggling to keep in pace with other games, it certainly evokes a good dose of nostalgia on the side of the older players.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid will feature rangers across different multiverses from the series' rich 25 year history.

Details are thin on the ground at the moment, but we expect you'll be able to duke it out with a wide range of characters in basic versus modes. That's right. Those mighty morphin' power rangers that have saved the world countless times are getting a fighting game of their own, and very soon. I mean, there are a lot of similarities between these two games (though I don't know whether Battle for the Grid will be as grinding as Legacy Wars is). Lionsgate's content initiatives are backed by a 17,000-title film and television library and delivered through a global licensing infrastructure.
