In an upset, "Bohemian Rhapsody", the biopic about Freddie Mercury and British rock band Queen, won best drama at the 76th annual Golden Globes on Sunday.

More than 50 years after Carol Burnett became the first woman to host a variety sketch show, a stint that would last 11 years and make her a household name, the 85-year-old accepted the very first Carol Burnett Award for lifetime achievement in television at the Golden Globes on Sunday.

Another candid moment from Oh's opening spiel came after she poked fun at the whitewashing of Asian-American roles in her opening speech, calling Crazy Rich Asians "the first studio film with an Asian-American lead since "Ghost in the Shell" and 'Aloha.'" It prompted Emma Stone, who was cast as quarter-Hawaiian and quarter-Chinese Allison Ng in Aloha, to shout out "I'm sorry!"

According to Ladbrokes, Malek is odds-on to scoop the award at 4/7, with Christian Bale at 9/4 after his Best Actor in a comedy or musical Golden Globe win.

Burnett described how she first fell in love with movies when she would see as many as eight a week with her grandmother, who raised her.

She also has the chance to take home an award. The show, which airs live on NBC, is hosted Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh-the stars of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Killing Eve, respectively.

Though the Globes are put on by foreign journalists, they don't including foreign language films in their two best picture categories (for drama and musical/comedy).

Last year, Oh and Samberg teamed up when they presented the Emmy Award for best director of a comedy, which went to Amy Sherman-Palladino of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel". They are not related to the Academy Awards. "This is what it looks like when white men control stories of color and whitesplain our Black queer history on national television".

Pointing at his Golden Globe award, he added: "And so now I have a counter-part for Freddie's teeth".

The film is been billed as a "true story" because it was based on the experience of his bodyguard and driver Anthony "Tony Lip" Vallelonga (played by Viggo Mortensen), who was screenwriter Nick Vallelonga's father. And FX's "The Americans" won for best drama series in its sixth and final season.

Also receiving multiple awards was "Roma", Alfonso Cuaron's affectionate look at his childhood in Mexico City, which won for best foreign film and best director. Best supporting actress in a drama movie went to the Oscar front-runner Regina King for her work in the "If Beale Street Could Talk".

Netflix also won numerous awards for the series "The Kominsky Method".

Olivia Colman won best actress in a comedy for her performance as daffy Queen Anne in "The Favourite". We want to hear from you.
