The Blues are now on course in their top-four pursuit with a two-point advantage over fifth-placed Arsenal but Sarri seems eager on bolstering the attack front further with the likes of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud largely misfiring.

Ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash between Chelsea and Southampton, Sports Mole looks at how Maurizio Sarri's side could line up at Stamford Bridge.

Martinez, though, believes Hazard risks losing what he has at Chelsea by moving to Spain and says there's plenty more he can do with the club.

Palace went into the game seeking to extend a three-match unbeaten streak that included a famous win over Manchester City before Christmas, but they struggled to prise the ball away from a Chelsea side determined to avoid a repeat of their Selhurst Park defeat last season.

They could be hampered by fitness problems, with Olivier Giroud, Cesc Fabregas, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi all suffering injuries over Christmas.

A tight one null ballgame was not a true reflection of the action at hand, but it does display the intensity between the two on the day.

"We have been unlucky".

Chelsea would play three games in 10 days, meaning Sarri has no option but to interchange his regular first-team during the period.

Crystal Palace remain in 14th spot.

In the last five minutes, Wilfried Zaha blasted over, while substitute Connor Wickham repeated the trick shortly afterwards as Palace fired another blank.

"It's very important for us when we have to play against opponents very low, where the strikers and wingers find it hard to find space". They are seemingly out of the title race but they will still have to consistently play good football in order to ensure that they attain a top-four finish.

Reflecting further on the game, he added: "They were very good, but in the first half our discipline was very focussed and we limited their goalscoring chances, and apart from their offside goal I thought we did quite well".

"I only didn't like that we weren't able to kill the match".
