It had an extensive release in as many as 4380 screens on Friday. "The movie opened quite well at the box office (Rs 20 crore), but on the second day (Rs 16 crore) itself, the collections started to dip", a news report said. However, the film held strong on Sunday with Rs 20.71 crore. The collection dropped due to its negative reviews from both critics and audiences.

Zero has managed to collect Rs 35 crore in overseas market, which has helped it to cross the magic figure of Rs 100 crore. The film's total stands at Rs 59.07 crore now. The film sees the superstar, miniaturised with special effects, caught up in a love triangle alongside a wheel-chaired scientist Anushka Sharma.

However, given that Zero released during the holiday season, it was expected to do better business.

This film also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the leading roles. Shah Rukh, in his movie Zero, made a comeback after the gap of nearly one and a half year.

It is Shah Rukh Khan's first movie since Jab Harry Met Sejal bombed past year. "I am a big fan of you and it was a nice chat with you on Twitter".

Zero has been pronounced as an "underperformer" at the domestic box office, thanks to its dwindling earnings over its four days of release. The actress was not able to be with her family for the festival due to promotional activities for her film 'Zero'.

"Zero" presents the story of Bauua, a vertically challenged man essayed by Shah Rukh Khan.
