Meghan has not spoken to her dad since tying the knot with Prince Harry in May. They are expected to join the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the annual church service at St Mary Magdalene on Christmas Day.

Kate Middleton was spotted shopping in a British discount store on Saturday, just two days before Christmas Eve.

"It's the time of year to reflect on how precious life is", she continued.

This Christmas marks the first time William and Kate have celebrated the holiday as a family of five. However, a source told The Daily Mail it would be "unusual" if William and Middleton invited Harry and Markle to stay with them after their marriage.

Honestly, we can see why the Suits alum is pretending like her family doesn't even exist.

The irony of this frosty situation will not be lost on her royals subjects as she addresses the nation with her Christmas Day message. "They all want to please the Queen and want airtime with her".

They then return to Sandringham for Christmas lunch.

Those who turned out to see the family arrive were rewarded by the younger royal generation looking happy and relaxed as they approached, scotching reports of a growing rift between Kate and Meghan.

"We would spend it as one big family unwrapping gifts, getting our hands in the pie dough, cooking the dinner together and watching Christmas shows on TV".

The day after Christmas, known as Boxing Day in the United Kingdom, the royals are expected to partake in a traditional pheasant shoot on the grounds of Sandringham.

First, Meghan; for 2018 was the year that the Duchess of Sussex, née Meghan Markle, has dominated the news agenda in a way that only royal brides know how.

This month also saw Markle's estranged father Thomas and half-sister Samantha ramping up their criticism of the former Suits star. "As you know, dad has been trying to contact you and is very hurt because you are avoiding him", the card reads, according to The Mirror.
