Joshua: If Wilder Doesn’t Want My Fight, It Will Be Dillian Whyte

He eventually rose unsteadily to his feet as Whyte said: "Everyone loves a knockout but I was anxious for him, I thought he might not get back up".

Joshua has been criticized by some quarters for not facing undefeated WBC champion Deontay Wilder in a unification fight for the undisputed heavyweight title, with talks between the two camps breaking down earlier in the year.

Joshua had previously given a clue to the rivalry that still exists with Whyte, saying: "Dillian is an idiot you know".

Hearn, though, is doubtful that fight can be made next with a rematch between Wilder and Tyson Fury looking likely.

While Joshua acknowledged that Whyte is definitely on his radar, he said his first priorities are Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

"But I said, 'Let's forget about that, because we've both developed, and let's prove who's the better fighter now'". If anybody deserves a world title shot, I think it's Dillian.

"If the deal isn't right, then we could look to America or we could look at staging something back here in New Zealand". We haven't got long.

"Obviously he can make the decisions that he can make and his decision is not to fight any of them at this moment". It would do 100,000 [fans] at Wembley.

In a post-match press conference, Whyte said Joshua is "talking rubbish" and added that he is not going to "sit around and wait for him". My career needs to progress. "I'm sure Eddie doesn't want the golden egg to get cracked".

"That's the reason the Fa camp are calling out Joseph Parker - they don't really want that fight now".

Some felt Chisora's latest loss to Whyte might mark the end of his career but Chisora is adamant he has a future and he remains highly marketable at home given his exciting fighting style. You can't do that many rounds with someone and not respect them. It's not like I had a bad loss or it was a c****y fight. I need to keep working hard, winning fights and it will happen.
