The film is anyways making money in the South languages and if Hindi version supports well too then recovery of the huge budget won't be an issue. The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer that has released in over 10,500 screens has opened to packed houses across the globe.

The film, which is a sequel to Enthiran, collected Rs 64.06 crore nett all over India, which is little more than 50 per cent of what Bahubali - The Conclusion earned on its first day.

Trade website Box Office India said the film was performing well in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Punjab, Bihar and Central India.

As per the report, the dubbed Tamil film is doing well in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Bihar and Central India as well as Mumbai and West Bengal.

Despite being a non-holiday and non-festival season release, director Shankar's magnum opus 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has set the box office on fire with a Day 1 collection of about ₹74 crore (gross) across the country. On its second day, the film didn't witness a major drop in its numbers and continued to rule at the box office, according to reliable trade sources. Rs 100 crore gross worldwide has already been crossed in just one day. It is the first Indian 3D movie directed the great director Shankar.

Superstar Rajinikanth was seen in multiple avatars - Dr Vaseegaran, Chitti, 2.0 and 3.0. The movie has been released in nearly 10,000 screens globally with around 32,000-33,000 shows across India.

The official 2.0 handle had tweeted, "It's an Overwhelming Response for #2Point0".
