"We call upon all countries, particularly Pakistan, to uphold their UN Security Council obligations to implement sanctions against the terrorists responsible for this atrocity, including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and its affiliates", he said.

"I can assure Mumbaikars that the city is safe and police are capable of protecting you from any eventuality", Mumbai Police Commissioner Subodh Kumar Jaiswal said.

State Department's Rewards for Justice (RFJ) programme on Monday said it is offering a reward of up to Dollars 5 million for information leading to the arrest or conviction in any country of any individual who committed, conspired to commit, or aided or abetted the execution of the 2008 Mumbai attack.

"The United States is committed to seeing that those responsible for this attack face justice. We once again call on Govt of Pakistan to give up double standards and expeditiously bring perpetrators of horrific attack to justice." the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The US, which is fighting the Taliban militants since 2001 in Afghanistan, continues to seek an exit strategy from the troubled country and in recent months Washington has held direct talks with the Taliban representatives to end the 17 year long war. The 1.23-minute clip features officers of different department remembering those officers who lost their lives during the attack and thanking them for their sacrifice.

This is the third RFJ bounty from the State Department on terrorists involved in the Mumbai attack carried out by the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) as it casts a wider net beyond its leaders.

To honour the memory of the victims, a moment of silence was observed by the attendees followed by lighting of candles.

The event among others was attended by Basant Sanghera and Jennifer Whethey, Director in the US National Security Council at the White House.
