Though Season 8 will be only six episodes long, they've been reported to each be close to movie-length in duration.

But, no, Game of Thrones confirmed on Twitter today [November 13] that season eight will begin in April 2019. And then to see these characters they loved so dearly, and deeply, taken away from you so much at this period of time just moves you beyond measure.
