Seattle's intended style worked to perfection on the opening drive when Wilson used up more than half of the first quarter and capped the 13-play drive with a 10-yard TD pass to Brown.

With both teams coming into the game winning four of their last five contests and two former Seahawks players making a return to Centry Link Field, this game is shaping up to be heated.

The Los Angeles Chargers axed kicker on Monday following his wayward performance in a victory over the Seattle Seahawks at the weekend. Wilson scrambled for 16 yards to the Chargers 28 and, after a spike, Seattle had 30 seconds left. Running back Melvin Gordon added 113 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Minutes later, trailing by a touchdown, Jarran Reed dropped Rivers for a 10-yard loss to force a late punt, and give Seattle a chance to tie in the final two minutes. Last Sunday versus the Chargers, things couldn't have been more different as Wilson put together one of his worst games of the season.

Punter Michael Dickson averaged 52.8 yards on six punts with a net of 50. Carson had just eight carries, leaving Mike Davis as the primary back.

Carson had been listed as questionable on the injury report with a groin problem, but wasn't on the inactive list the Seahawks released before the game.

The injury kept McDougald out for most of the second half, leaving second-year Delano Hill to take over the reins.

It wasn't until midway through the fourth quarter, but Frank Clark finally got to Philip Rivers. They looked like a legitimate playoff team and the Seahawks didn't, even though the game was so close. "We had a chance but it didn't work", Wilson said. Sturgis is the first kicker with a missed extra point and missed field goal in three straight games since Raiders kicker Jim Breech in 1979.
