Victoria Beckham has her say on Spice Girls reunion

The Spice Girls will kick off their United Kingdom stadium tour in June next year in Manchester.

The girls will do it without Victoria Beckham, though, who said to be focusing on her fashion label.

The band was a 1990s phenomenon with hits including Wannabe and Viva Forever.

The tour will mark the first time the group has performed together since the 2012 Olympics.

All the concerts will take place in June next year, with dates in Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and London (Wembley).

"Friendship never ends? So Why Is Victoria Beckham not joining? We hope everyone can join us for one big Spice Girls party!"

In a video shared on the band's newly-created Twitter account on Tuesday, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton are seen in a mock news broadcast, confirming the details of their tour.

After months of rumours following the group's meeting in February this year, Geri, Emma, Mel C and Mel B have confirmed they will play six stadium shows next year.

It was also revealed on Monday that singer Jess Glynne will be opening for the band. Explaining the reason why her old bandmate won't be making up the five, Mel explained: "It's just the four of us that are fully committed but Vic might join us at some point".

"When all the other girls were being fun and spontaneous and jumping on tables, I was always the one checking the table wasn't going to collapse", she said. The group reformed for a tour in 2007-2008 and had hinted at a further reunion in 2018.

Echoing that sentiment, Mel B stated: "I've said it sooo many times I'm beside myself it's actually happening yipppeeee".

The girls released three studio albums and 13 singles - with nine of them going to number one in the UK. "I didn't like to say that, but we'll go everywhere else in the world, but right now it's just in the United Kingdom".
