Alec Baldwin Arrested For Punching Man Over Parking Spot

Baldwin, 60, allegedly struck an unidentified 49-year-old man, sending him to the hospital, in the city's West Village neighborhood.

Actor and comedian Alec Baldwin, no stranger to flashes of temper, was arrested Friday for allegedly punching a man in the face in a dispute over a parking spot, police sources told PIX11. The DA's office told Heavy that charges would be announced following arraignment but that the process would likely "take some time". The men were arguing and pushing each other before Baldwin turned violent, officials added. Being that you can't (allegedly) punch a guy over a parking spot, no matter how badly you wanted it, the cops were then called.

Sources told the Daily Beast that "Baldwin had someone holding a parking spot for him and while he was moving his vehicle to the spot, someone else took the space". If you've ever tried to park in the Big Apple, you likely feel his pain, but Baldwin is accused of taking things to the next level - fisticuffs with a stranger - and has been arrested. According to the authorities, the alleged altercation happened at 1:30 p.m. EST at W 10th Street between University and Broadway.

Baldwin has enjoyed renewed popularity for his blustering impersonations of President Donald Trump on NBC's "Saturday Night Live".

Baldwin and Thomas married in 2012 and have four children. Reports on social media say that Baldwin screamed at the police as they arrested him, but the NYPD has not confirmed this.
