Tottenham Hotspur attempt to get their Champions League campaign back on track today as they visit the Netherlands to take on PSV.

The visitors looked set for their first win of this season's Champions League after Lucas Moura and Harry Kane had overturned Hirving Lozano's opening goal in the first half.

Worse was to follow for Mauricio Pochettino's side as they conceded a soft late goal, failing to clear the ball before De Jong flicked a Pablo Rosario volley past substitute keeper Michel Vorm. Another is when you play PSV and you have a lot of possibilities to win the game but you don't win.

"Of course you draw and it puts our qualification for the next stage of the Champions League in a hard situation". Clearly that's the analysis. I don't know the solution, because we played very well. "If someone wants to blame a person, it's myself to blame because I am responsible for the team".

"Players are there to play". When you are in a good situation to kill the game and you don't kill it, you have to blame yourself. You draw and we put in a risky situation our chances of qualification.

Lozano followed up his goal by forcing Lloris into a rash tackle outside the box and a straight red card in the 79th minute.

"It's easy to blame the decision of the referee but I think if we need to blame someone, it's ourselves".

The result leaves Spurs likely needing to win all three of their remaining group matches to reach the knockout stages, while even that might not be enough if results do not go their way elsewhere.

It is true that Spurs have been doing well in the Premier League.

Kane hit the bar early on but PSV took full advantage when Toby Alderweireld gifted them the chance to take the lead.

The late minute strike from de Jong ensured the home team avoided defeat in the game after Lloris fouled Lozano and was handed marching others by the referee.

"Yes, when we signed our contracts [in the summer] we expected a tough period, but it's tougher than we believed". We were much better than them. It was a heavy night for us.

Tottenham were clearly the stronger side and probably deserved a better result than a 2-2 draw with the Dutch Eredivisie leaders.

Back-to-back losses to Barcelona and Inter left both these teams in need of a win, and while a point does not rule out their progress to the last 16, neither Spurs nor PSV will be overly happy.
