If you are a Huawei Mate fan, tonight is the night that you are going to witness the highly anticipated launch of the Huawei's Mate 20 Series in London. Lastly, the most expensive of the lot is Porsche Design Mate 20 RS which is priced at €1,695 (Rs 144,000 approximately) 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and €2,095 (Rs 178,100 approximately) for 8GB RAM with 512GB storage.

"These devices are the "mate" of consumers - accompanying and empowering them to enjoy a richer, more fulfilled life with their higher intelligence, unparalleled battery life and powerful camera performance", Richard Yu Chengdong, chief executive of Huawei's consumer business group, said in a statement after the launch of the new smartphones.

Stay tuned as we continue our coverage of the Huawei Mate 20 from London.

The camera system and Kirin 980 chipset are the same as in the Mate 20 Pro.

The Porsche Design variant is essentially the Mate 20 Pro on steroids, aimed at the rich and ostentatious.

On track to ship 200 million handset to both domestic and global markets this year, Huawei surpassed Apple in global smartphone shipments in the second quarter of this year. Both the smartphones will be sold in five colour options: Emerald Green, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold, Twilight, and Black. The Mate 20 Pro has an iPhone-style cutout that allows for three-dimensional face unlock. On the other hand, the Mate 20 features a 12-megapixel standard camera, a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera and the same 8-megapixel telephoto camera. Besides this, Mate 20 Pro is rumoured to have a 4200mAh battery, that will support SuperCharge 2.0 technology, and could be bundled with power inputs of up to 15W capacity.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a 4,200mAh battery under the hood, with support for the same 40W charging. It comes with support for the "world's first wireless reverse charging" technology on a smartphone, which means it can wirelessly charge. The Mate 20 X comes with IP53 water and dust resistance rating, a graphene film and vapour chamber cooling system, and support for the Huawei M-Pen. Meanwhile, the Mate 20 features a 6.5-inch LCD screen with 2244 x 1080 resolution, 18.7:9 aspect ratio and 88.08% screen-to-body ratio.

Features available to Mate 20 users include being able to isolate human subjects and desaturate the colors around them in order to highlight people against their backgrounds.
