Maharashtra commission for women slaps notice on Nana Patekar, summons Tanushree Dutta

His remarks came after Tanushree in an interview in September, in the context of the #MeToo Movement and sexual harassment of women in Bollywood, spoke out of her personal experience at the hands of Nana Patekar on the set of "Horn "OK" Pleassss" in 2008.

Now, looking into the complaint, the Mumbai Police has come into action and will visit her home in the evening to record her statement. The actress has also accused choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Rakesh Sarang and others for not only trying to cover up the incident but for also not coming out in support of her.

Dutta said she had also received "violent threats" from the fringe, far-right nationalist group Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and has been hounded by a "smear campaign" on social media since reiterating her claims against the pair. She disclosed how before shooting the song, she had clearly noted that she will not endorse or do any lustful, ill-mannered or bumpy steps.

No action was taken at the time against Patekar and she made no formal complaint.

"When he was touching me indecently and unnecessary I felt very uncomfortable because of his behaviour, I felt he has outraged my modesty", the letter read. Producer Sameer Siddiqui was also named in the complaint.

Everyone was taking side of Patekar, she said. Many parts of my complaint were deleted, omitted and avoided, she alleged. "I am claustrophobic anyway, I need to move around", she added.

"After the above incident I was under tremendous shock and I suffered psychological trauma and was unable to take work and suffered huge monetary loss in crores", Dutta said in the letter.

Patekar, who was shooting for upcoming film "Housefull 4" in Jodhpur, landed here Saturday.

Agnihotri's lawyers denied the charges and sent Dutta a legal notice for defamation.
