A rundown of the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh

Attorney Michael Avenatti added to the storm of sexual misconduct allegations against Brett Kavanaugh on Sunday, claiming he has "significant evidence" that the Supreme Court nominee participated in sexual misconduct in high school.

He revealed her identity as Julie Swetnick on Wednesday. In it, Swetnick describes parties in 1981 to 1983 where she saw Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, drink excessively, fondle and grab girls without their consent, and be aggressive with girls and not take "no" for an answer. That delay and the lack of evidence to support the allegations is raising suspicions voiced Tuesday by President Donald Trump, who accused Democrats of using the women in a "con job" created to delay Kavanaugh's confirmation past the November midterm election - or kill it outright.

Judiciary Committee Republicans say they are now reviewing Swetnick's allegations.

Kavanaugh's claim during a Fox News interview Monday that he was a virgin until "many years" after high school was "absolutely false and a lie", Swetnick said. "I have never done any such thing, known about any such thing". Other than a broad allegation against a group of boys in spiking the punch, she doesn't actually make any specific claims against Kavanaugh of witnessing an actual and specific crime.

Reuters was not immediately able to verify the substance of the woman's allegation.

"This morning Michael Avenatti provided a declaration to the Judiciary Committee".

Kavanaugh has denied Ford's accusation as well as another from a former Yale University classmate who said he exposed himself to her at a drunken party. "These boys included Mark Judge Brett Kavanaugh", Swetnick said.

Hundreds of protesters rally in the Hart Senate Office Building while demonstrating against the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh on Capitol Hill September 24, 2018 in Washington, DC. There should be an investigation into these allegations, made in a sworn affidavit, and other named witnesses, including Mark Judge, must be called to testify. "Somebody yelled down the hall, 'Brett Kavanaugh just put his penis in Debbie's face, '" she said. There's quite a bit more about Kavanaugh's drinking and attitude toward women in this affidavit than in specific allegations as to his actions in support of the gang-rape conspiracy.
