Antonio Brown’s Agent Releases Statement On His Absence From Team Monday

Wide receiver Antonio Brown was a no-show on Monday, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Speaking Tuesday, Tomlin said the starwideout has not asked for a trade, despite missing Monday's meetings, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. "But I'll leave that between he and I", Tomlin said.

"You know, we lost a football game".

During Sunday's loss, Brown had a verbal altercation with Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Randy Finchter, and he was reportedly upset when leaving the stadium soon after the match, before reporters had been allowed into the locker room.

A team source told ESPN that Brown is fully expected to be in the building for Wednesday's work day. Brown was frustrated after a loss, but seeing a top-3 receiver say "trade me" as a Bell still refuses to report was simply too much drama for some fans to handle.

"There's lots of guys on him and it's probably me not being as accurate with the ball throwing it plays when I need to", Roethlisberger said.

There is clearly no desire from Brown to being moved but it may just be him venting some frustrations with how his team has played through the first two weeks of the season now holding a 0-1-1 record.

Tomlin said he won't comment directly on player happenings on social media, which features "gray area" and "very little accountability", but he made clear players should be held to a higher standard.

However, as we know, winning fixes everything and the next four games against reasonably competitive teams could be the deciding factor in whether Pittsburgh ever gets things turned around for 2018. "That's what makes him special, the passion he has for this game and the passion to be great".

Mike Tomlin took care of addressing the least important people first: us. "I'm not going to get into the details of why he wasn't here or whether or not he was excused".

Brown has 18 catches for 160 yards and one touchdown through the team's 0-1-1 start. Roethlisberger isn't anxious about Brown's outburst on Sunday.

Brown was seen walking off the field by himself, head down, while the rest of the offense celebrated a Roethlisberger touchdown scramble with 1:59 left.
