The event could show new iPad Pro's.

Of those, 42% plan on buying one of the three new iPhones to be announced next month, while 18% plan to purchase an iPhone X, 16% want to upgrade to an iPhone 8, and 24% intend to upgrade to another iPhone.

"Please join us at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino for an Apple special event". This essentially means that none of the 2018 iPhones will have Touch ID, and the devices will instead rely on Face ID.

Just moments after giving us a first look at the iPhone XS, 9to5Mac on Thursday shared the first images and details of the Apple Watch Series 4, which Apple will debut at its special event on September 12th. The 6.5-inch model would be the largest iPhone to date, and the 6.1-inch model would be a new, less-expensive model for customers to consider. Apple is gearing up for another press conference where it'll no doubt have a new iPhone model waiting.

It's thought this "budget" iPhone will come packed with an LCD display and single rear camera rather that the dual-lens snapper found on Apple's current flagship.

The Apple Watch isn't an iPhone-like revenue generator, but is part of the company's growing Other Products segment. Reports suggest that the new A12 chipset will be 20 per cent faster and consume 40 per cent less power.

To recall, the leading tech company opened the Apple Park campus a year ago and unveiled its premium iPhone X handset as part of the tenth-anniversary celebration.

Apple sent out invitations to press on Thursday for a special event on september 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, CA.

The folks at 9to5Mac also got their hands on an image of the new Apple Watch Series 4 today.
