Paul Scholes Upset Fans With His Comments On Jesse Lingard

Lingard has been earning plenty of praise for his strong performances for Manchester United in recent months and his fine displays have earned him a starting spot for England at the World Cup in Russian Federation.

Jesse Lingard is now taking his position as midfielder on the England team at the 2018 World Cup.

In the 36th minute, the Manchester United man played a neat one-two with Raheem Sterling, cut inside and curled a stunning strike into top corner.

Lingard also spoke about the enjoyment the squad have had in seeing the video clips of fans celebrating England's goals and performances from back home, from the two group games so far.

It's exciting to see England's players playing so well together and now Paul Scholes has given an interesting take on why Lingard has performed so well in Russian Federation.

Jesse Lingard made a decision to donate £350 worth of training gear to one of the youth teams he played with as a youngster.

"That's when the work begins and I think the penny dropped with Jesse". "He was a late developer and the coaches have to realise that".

"I think Warren Joyce - brilliant coach with the under-23, realised it's going to take him a little bit of time".

"It took me ages".

"It could have been a tough game but we started well".

Lingard scored England's third of a 6-1 rout with a fantastic long-range curling effort that gave goalkeeper Jaime Penedo no chance in the Canalero net.

Scholes' comments about Lingard and Mourinho's relationship hasn't gone down too well with United fans, who have been slammed the former midfielder in the replies section. I have seen this from this boy since he was 11 years old at Manchester United.

"He's really flourishing and thriving in that atmosphere".

Perhaps they have a point.

Not only has Lingard gone on to be a Manchester United regular, but has now established himself in the global setup, and was voted Man of The Match during England's 6-1 victory over Panama earlier today.
