Meghan Markle's Father: Prince Harry Told Me To 'Give Trump A Chance'

"I just wish it could have been my hand holding my daughter's not his but I think he was wonderful for doing it".

When the duchess' father was asked if Harry was a Trump supporter, he said that "at the time, he might have been", but now he hopes Harry isn't.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave major relationship goals at their fairytale wedding. "I had been seen as negative for an entire year". I'd love to. I'm on the mend and feeling much better and doctors are making me lose weight and take better care of myself.

In the interview, Thomas Markle expressed his regret at missing the wedding.

Mr Markle was paid a "few thousand pounds" for the tell-all interview with Good Morning Britain and Meghan's father chose to do it because he wanted "set the record straight", host Piers Morgan revealed afterwards.

Prince Harry's younger cousin Celia Rose McCorquodale married George Woodhouse on Saturday at a ceremony in Lincolnshire.

"Everybody was watching my daughter and I couldn't have been more proud", said Thomas.

Markle said he gave Harry permission to marry his daughter over the phone.

His claims will cause ructions because royals must remain strictly politically neutral - although Harry's father Charles is known for his outspoken views and numerous letters lobbying ministers.

"He said give Donald Trump a chance".

"That was his politics, I had my politics", he explained.

Markle said he also asked his future son-in-law about Britain's 2016 decision to leave the European Union and got the impression Harry is comfortable with Brexit. There was no real commitment for it.

The Duchess of Sussex's father also detailed the moment Prince Harry asked permission to marry Meghan - including a freaky warning he issued. "Well obviously that all went to hell and I feel bad about it, I apologised for it, and that's all I can do". "She said, 'Of course we'll have to call him 'H" so no one knows that we are talking about Harry.

He said that he looks forward to meeting the Queen for the first time, adding: "I've had respect for that woman since I was a child".

It was later reported that Thomas would no longer be attending the royal wedding due to scheduled heart surgery.

"They were disappointed. and they both said, "Take care of yourself, we are really anxious about you", he said.

Seemingly unfazed by his daughter marrying into the royal family, Mr Markle said she had "been a princess since the day she was born", adding: "He made a good pick, didn't he?"

"For the most part it was always, 'Don't speak to the press.' The rest of the things were, 'Just be careful, '" he said.
