Mi 8 SE also happens to be the first device to run on the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor.

Talking about the Xiaomi Mi 8, the company has launched a next-generation smartphone that will directly challenge the flagship phones like iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9.

The Mi 8 will be priced at around $421, the Explorer Edition priced at $577, while the Mi 8 SE will go for $281.

"The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE features a 5.88" Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2244.

The Mi 8 comes out June 5 in China, with the Mi 8 SE following on June 8.

The Explorer Edition features a number of experimental new features, including a see-through glass back, a pressure-sensitive fingerprint scanner built into the display and an iPhone X-esque face unlock using infrared light. The main part, as expected, was the story of the Mi 3 smartphone Max. As one would expect from Xiaomi, these are highly competitive prices.

As mentioned earlier, the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition feature similar specifications but differ in terms of design.

Coming to the camera, the Mi 8 SE has a 12MP + 5MP configuration while the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition get the 12MP + 12MP upgrade. The Mi 8 comes in four colors - Black, White, Blue and Rose Gold - and, it ships with a 3400 mAh battery that keeps the entire package up and running.

The company also introduced a regular edition of the Mi 8, which has the fingerprint sensor on the back. Both of the versions of the Mi 8 comes with the Snapdragon 845 and 6.21-inch AMOLED display. While the Mi 8 includes 6GB of RAM, the Mi 8 Explorer Edition comes with 8GB of RAM. In comparison, the Mi 8 comes with the same amount of RAM, but it is available in the 64, 128 and 256GB storage models. On the front is a 20MP sensor with AI Beautify (portrait mode).

Available in 4GB RAM/64GB memory and 6GBRAM/64GB memory variants, they come at a price of CNY 1,799 (about Rs 19,000) and CNY 1,999 (about Rs. 21,100) respectively. In fact, it's the very first phone to ship with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 710 chipset.

As always, the global prices of the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, and Mi 8 Explorer Edition will be slightly higher than their prices in China, but we don't have any details on that front for now. Let us know in the comments!
